We went out yesterday and bought a tree permit to get our very own, live, real, Christmas Tree! Megan has been telling me that we aren't allowed to have a fake tree, so I had to get a real one. So this is what happened. This video should explain most everything. And this picture is the trimmings off of the bottom of the tree. We tied them together and hung it over our mirror in the bed room.

A Short Update

(Tour of our 1st Apartment)
So, Yeah... It's been a while, but Megan and I are happy and safe. We are living in Rexburg in a 400 sq/ft (or less) apartment. I am working at a Craft store across the street from where we live. In fact, it takes us longer to walk to our car then it does for me to walk to work. Megan is doing well in school, as always. She's so smart. That's about it for now. I'll try and update more often, especially around the holidays.

I'M MARRIED and more...

Yup, another long time, no blog. But to catch up. Megan and I are MARRIED!!!! We did get married on June 18th, 2008 in the Rexburg Temple. It was pretty small. Her family and my family, a few scattered aunts, uncles and cousins. We have a get lunch afterwards in the gardens at BYU-Idaho.

Then we took off for Yellowstone for a few days. That was fun being able to take Megan there for our honeymoon, since she hadn't been since she was little. We also canoed the river just down the road from our cabin. We then flew to Connecticut and spent 5 days there where we had a reception there. It was really nice. We were able to show a slide show and have our first dance. Megan tossed her bouquet off of the balcony at the mansion where we held it. Here's a little video on how that went. If you can't tell, at the end of the video, that's Mollie walking away from the group, all embarrassed. she dodged the bouquet and it hit the ground, hard. We also went to New
York City while we were out there. I had never been to the City, so that was also fun. I got to see the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Bldg., Time Square and so much more. We packed it in all in one day. I have to saw that if I was going to live out east Connecticut would be the furthest south that I would go. After CT we went down to VA to see my grandmom. That is where I decided to live no where south of CT. It was so humid in VA. It was really good to see my grandmom though. I hadn't seen here for 10 or 11 years. After that we flew back to Salt Lake and drove back to Provo (kinda depressing). We had a few more days just to our selves and then back to work (lame). We did have a fun weekend this weekend though. We spent the 4th of July with Kyle and his roommate Josh. We had a "bar-b-q" and then ate some smores over the grill. Then we went up toward the "Y" to watch the fireworks from the BYU stadium. That was a fun way to spend the 4th with my newly found wife. After the fire works we went back to Kyle's and played with sparklers. That turned out to be really fun as we captured some cool shots with our cameras.

So, it's been amazing being married to such a wonderful woman. She is the best thing that's happened to me. I'll love her 'til death and the forever after that.

I know I know Too Long...

Well, it's been a while hasn't it? I'm still in Provo with Megan, well living at my sisters' and Megan is only a mile or so away. It's been a good summer so far. I'm 28 now and feel about the same. I got some really cool stuff for my birthday, a hand crank popcorn popper, a really nice circular saw, a sweet camping set and Violin from my dear Megan. The wedding plans are coming along. Still need to meet with my bishop so I can actually get married. We have got all of our announcements out in the mail and everything else is pretty much planned and ready to go. Now we wait, 2 1/2 more weeks!!! I don't know if I can wait that long. On a different topic, I did quit my job at Coldstone. I could work with 16 year old managers. It was driving me insane when I would work as hard as I could and they would sit in the back texting and not doing anything at all. So a week later Megan happened to get a job at Boondocks Fun Center in Draper and I applied too and got the job there too. We've been there for about 2 weeks now and it is a much better job, atmosphere and pay. Well, that's enough for now. I love you... DEAR!!! (inside joke)

Good News!

Well, it's official! Megan and I changed our date to the 18thof June! We got really blessed with some housing over the summer and everything else was movable, even the honeymoon, we're excited about that one. I was even blessed with a job at Cold Stone! We are eternally grateful for the blessing we have received today. Everyone that we would talk to about our problems just kept telling us, "Everything will work out." and it's not that we didn't have the faith, it's just that we had so many plans fall through. We are just so thankful to all those that had faith the it would work out just right. And especially grateful to our Heavenly Father who loves us very much and we will continue to show Him that same love. So, most of the plans are made we just need to get everything else prepared. Not too much though. It was definitely a good day!

ah back in the Mountain West

Well, I'm moving to Provo today... I came to California, but couldn't find any work. So, with just a couple of hours of online searching I was able to find work and set up interviews in Provo, so off I go. Oh and just a little note on the plus side... I get to see Megan in 4 days instead of 4 months. Yeah, that's a plus... A HUGE PLUS!!! I miss her so bad. And because of all these changes, we get to move up the date too!!! YAY!!! We are having some trouble finding a place to live, so if you have any idea of any open places... let us know. (though, I think that Megan is the only one who reads this). So, just after a 13 hours car ride and 10 days in California, I get to make an 11 hour drive and go live in Provo, but all worth it. I wish I could have just gone straight from Rexburg to Provo and saved the gas. It was good to see my dad and brothers though. So, I guess that was a plus. I'm excited to get down there. Welp, more later when I actually have a job.

Life goes on...

Well, this would be my first blog post ever, but anyway. I've met the best person in the world for me. She's AMAZING! Just for a little back story... Megan and I met fall 2006 in Rexburg at BYU-I. We were really good friends for the most part. That next summer I went away to work at a dinner theatre and she made the most amazing cake for me for my birthday... and that's when I knew she was the one for me. Just Kidding. But that next fall we hung out all the time. We started dating on October 23, 2007 and progressed nice and steady. Well, Christmas came around and we missed each other too much. So, Megan did some research and found out that it would cost her -$75 to fly to California a week earlier than it would to fly to Salt Lake City on her original date. So, I got to see Megan and it saved her (mom) money. So we continued dating until March 20th... When we got engaged. We are planning on getting sealed in the Rexburg Temple on August 26th, 2008. Right now she is on a tour of the southern states with the symphony band and I am missing her like crazy.

Just recently I have worked, for a production company, on a pilot TV series called Justin Time. Were hoping that it gets picked up, but keep our options open. Because of my experience on that show me and a friend were able to make a short film that we entered into the BYU-I film festival and won first place. It's a mocumentary about a day in the life of a Waldo (from Where's Waldo) type character. This was the first thing that I was able to make using professional equipment, including a dolly, lighting and boom mic. Anyway, I'll try and get it posted on this site, but fr now you can see it on my facebook. Also, my brother Christian, his friend Justin and I have started a sketch comedy website. Check it out at www.driveldawgs.com.

Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do for the summer so Megan and I aren't a young poor married couple. I'm sure the Lord will bless us in our efforts. But for now we pray and work hard.
